We are a church focused on reaching people and helping them “Build Bridges”. From relationships with spouses and children, to coworkers and neighbors, but most importantly a relationship with Jesus Christ. We have been a beacon of hope for decades in the Saginaw area. Hundreds of young people are brought in on buses and hundreds more drive in every Sunday. There is a place here for everyone! Pastor JD Howell
Pastor Howell became the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport on May 19, 2019. He has a great love for the Word of God and sticks to the truth of it throughout his teaching and preaching. He serves the church along with his wife Doreen and three children: Johnny, James, and Danielle.
Pastor Howell was formerly an assistant pastor at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport for 17 years before he stepped into his current role as senior pastor. With the help of a tremendous staff, God has allowed FBC to see over 100 young people in the Lord’s work!
